Julia is a local artist struggling to survive in artistic creation and reality. Her watercolor is taught by Lai Ieng in her early age.

A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University, Julia initially focused on watercolors dealing with Macao’s festivals and developed her unique approachtocombining the iconic symbols of different cities and regions. Her later works are oil paintings themed around food and cities. Among the outputs is a Macanese cuisine series, now included in Colors in the Pot, the first illustrated Macanese cuisine cookbook published in Macao. Some of her creations were selected for the “Collective Exhibition of Macao Artists” and won the Best Concept Award at the Macau Arts Festival. Several of her watercolors and oil paintings are held by the Macao Art Museum and private collectors. Since 2020, she has been producing post-impressionist works with acrylic on canvas, hoping to interact with the audience with more thought-provoking pieces.
