➭Preface
Animals, especially cats, always rekindle in us the unparalleled purity and innocence found in the city. Sometimes directly, and at other times subtly, they occupy an irreplaceable presence in my work.
The theme of the exhibition is "With Ears Perked Up!" It combines my past and present works centered around cats. In these portraits, I explore their possibilities with color blocks, tones, and lines. Cats embody the wildness of nature, yet when they are with humans, they revert to beloved companions, quietly listening to us and observing the world around them, silently providing us with healing. Their graceful gaze, peaceful nature, and loyal presence, along with their unique aura, inspire me to capture those moments and share them through my paintings. These naturally wild children are also gentle, innocent, and loving little companions.
I would like to thank the Macau Artist Society and the Macau Youth Art Association for providing me the opportunity to showcase my works. Special thanks to the Cultural Development Fund of the Macau SAR Government for their support, and to the venue support from the 10 Fantasia-A Creative Industries Incubator
