Born in Macau in 1986, Lei Ieng Wai has been involving himself in arts creation and education. He received his BFA and MFA in Oil Painting from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2008 and 2012, respectively. His work attempts to imitate the mechanical coldness of artificial lighting in urban neon lights through oil painting as a medium, and explores urban transformation and the life of the urbanite.
