In 2021, “Rainbow Road - Ethnic Region Youth Art Education Charity Campaign’, a six-day art education aid, donation, visit and exchange was ended on May30, 2021.

The Macao delegation is headed by Lok Hei - President of Macau Artists Society, Sio In Leong - Executive Vice President, Jia Zheng and Chen Wu, as Honorary advisors, Siokit Lei - Director of Council of Macau Youth Art Association, and members include Hera Ieong, Leong Sin Teng, Ines Chan, Lei Chokon and Ng Man Wai. Together with our observer, Arissa Chong, Executive Director of Tak Chun Charity Association, Rui Pedro Cunha, Consultant and the Project Director Li Han Feng.

Rainbow Road is the eighth time to carry art education in ethnic areas of Mainland since 2013. This event has raised more than 5.6 million from donation, and built 240 happy art classrooms among Inner Mongolia, Hunan, Jilin, Tibet, Qinghai, Guangxi, Yunnan, Ningxia, Guihou, Sichuan, Hubei and other provinces’ local schools. In addition to sowing the seeds of art education, we encourage the youth to achieve their ideal life through art.

Warm welcome from Liu Xingquan, Dean of the School of Arts of Southwest University for Nationalies on arrival. Cooperation Agreement signed between Liu and our Sio In Leong, wishing for long-term cooperation in the fields of collection and creation, exhibition, academic activities and professional training. The delegation visited their graduation exhibition for undergraduates who majoring in visual communication and design.

Next day, they took the flight to Xichang, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, and went to four primary schools in Yuexi and Xide to conduct inspiring art education and donation in 2 days. Our young talents, Siokit Lai, Hera Ieong, Leong Sin Teng, Ines Chang, Lei Chokon and Ng Man Wai, specially designed different art classes for them, including Chinese painting, western painting and hand-crafted modeling. Pupils are inspired by using ink, watercolor and light clay, with combination of local characteristic elements, hoping to enhance and light up their art sense. 

The delegation then visited Yuexi County Modern Agricultural Industrial Park and Chengbei Thanksgiving community to learn about the local development from different aspects, lastly return via Chengdu.
