Wang Xiaojie was born in Quanzhou, Fujian, China in 1990 and later he moved to Macau. After graduating from the Macau Polytechnic Institute with Bachelor Degree in Visual Arts, he went to Taiwan to study, and obtained his Master Degree in Art Creation, from the Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan University of the Arts. He is currently a part-time lecturer of Macau Polytechnic Institute.

He focuses on the concrete and realistic oil paintings and water-based composite materials of the social phenomenon. His early works depict the microscopic city and perspective space. The works mostly explore the habits of the people in urban areas and the emotional memories of the place. His painting series have been exhibited in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau many times. Some of these works are collected by the Taichung City Council and there are also works that belong to private collections.
